MJM Home began in Vermont in 2018 at the resort area of Stratton Mountain, however, our projects range all over the country, but mostly in the Northeast. MJM Home has clients that insist we follow them where they go.

Principle Designer
Maura’s passion for design and architecture began at a very early age and has served her well for many years, guiding her clients through the design process from concept to completion. Seeing her designs come to life is not only rewarding, but it is her driving force to do more. She takes pride in great client relationships, superior listening, integrity, and sometimes stepping out of the box from her comfort zone to offer something spectacular to a client.
Maura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and has over 30 years of design experience, mainly in custom cabinetry for all rooms of the home. When she designs a space, she goes above and beyond just selling cabinets. She creates a space in a home for her client that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional while being tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. After all, your home is your sanctuary.
She is typically involved in the design process, the cabinetry from her own private-label sources, appliances or fixtures, tile, counters, and lighting, and can extend all the way to the furniture as well as the finishes. She oversees all the contracting and sub-contracting involved on the job to ensure that the intended design is executed down to the smallest detail.
After spending most of her career in the Northeast, mainly in the Boston area, Cape Cod, and the Islands, and most recently working in NYC for one of the top brands of cabinetry in the country, Bakes & Kropp, LTD, she landed herself in Vermont. The Green Mountain state is where she chooses to live, it's her home base, her happy place. She considers herself a 'destination designer' whereas she does travel and service clients throughout the entire Northeast.

Kate Perkins

Kate joined the MJM Home team in the summer of 2021. She started her education at Endicott College in Beverly, MA, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Traveling up and down the east coast, she learned and appreciated all the different style markets. This diversity has added to her understanding and appreciation of design. She enjoyed learning the different avenues of design and found paths in commercial design, merchandising, and finally falling deepest in love with residential design. She found the greatest joy in helping design the most personal places. After much exploring, she finally found the perfect place to set roots, in the country foothills, just over the border from Vermont. She is excited to continue to grow in a field that has always been an interest of hers.

Megan, originally from Connecticut's scenic shoreline, is now embracing Vermont's lively atmosphere. With a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of Mississippi, Megan brings a strong marketing foundation to her latest adventure in interior design.
Her move to Vermont isn't just a change of scenery but a leap into her passion for crafting beautiful spaces. Excitement drives Megan as she explores the creative world of interior design and the art of transforming spaces into functional expressions of style.
